“Now when they saw the boldness and unfettered eloquence of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and untrained in the schools, common men with no educational advantages, they marveled and they recognized that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13 Amplified
As we move through the beginnings of the early church, Peter has just given his first speech to the Sanhedrin. These were the same men he had run from when Jesus was arrested. Now he boldly stands in front of them to tell them about Jesus, that He was the Messiah they killed. Our verse today tells us that the way in which Peter spoke convinced them that he had been with Jesus.
As believers do people see us as having been with Jesus?
Just like these men we don’t need to know eloquent words, the Lord will give us the words to say to testify of Him. All we need to do is offer ourselves to Him to be used and He will give us courage, boldness and the words.
