A Christian Journey

God’s Will Be Done

“And He was saying, Abba, Father, everything is possible for You, take away this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.” Mark 14:36

Now we see Jesus humanity coming to a head here as He goes to the garden to pray. He knows what lies ahead of Him and His flesh cries out, in our verse today, to take away the pain He likely is already feeling. In Luke 22:44 it states that His body sweat great drops of blood, that’s how much agony He was in.

When we agonize over issues in our life, whether relational, physical, mental, financial or spiritual; we can know that Jesus understands. As hard as it may be we must always seek God’s will in our life, through these tough times and our everyday walk.

Jesus said in Luke 14:27 “Deny yourself, take up your cross, and follow me.” He understood what that meant as He was about to do that for us.
