A Christian Journey

Blind Faith

“We are assured and know that God being a partner in our labor, all things work together and are fitting into a plan for good to and for those who love God and are called according to His design and purpose.”  Romans 8:28   Amplified

We all go through “things”, big things and little things. When we do, and the outcome isn’t pleasant, it’s our human nature to doubt and get down. The difference in going through when you get down and is to not stay down. When you look back at the saints in the old and new testament “things” weren’t perfect for them sometimes, and some got down. Again, the difference is, they didn’t stay down.

Our verse today tells us that we are assured, similar to a promise, and know, we’ve got the head knowledge, that God is with us. The next step to knowing is doing, though “things” may not work out the way we want, God is with us in it and the rest of the verse tells us He is going to do what’s best for us.

This verse doesn’t say all things ARE good, it says all things work together FOR good. We have to trust God with that, though we don’t understand. I’m one who likes to understand, but that’s where my faith comes in. God is the creator of the universe and has the world in the palm of his hands. Just as many saints before me blindly trusted in God to take care of them, I will do the same. Will you? He has called us all to trust Him.
