“Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace, the peace of His kingdom, at all times and in all ways, under all circumstances and conditions, whatever comes. The Lord be with you all.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16 Amplified
Who doesn’t want peace? We all want it at all times, it’s when our peace is interrupted that we get upset. Someone says or does something to us or a loved one that causes us to lose our peace.
In our verse today Paul is telling us that we can have peace, Christ’s peace, and we can have it at all times, in all ways and under all circumstances. The word doesn’t say it’s okay to lose your peace when someone does something you don’t like. The key to not losing your peace is the last line, the Lord be with you all. As believers we have Jesus in our hearts, the holy spirit is with us all the time, but do we allow Him to have control? We can have a gun with us all the time in case someone attacks us, but until we pull the trigger it will just sit there.
Seek God’s peace by turning over ALL your problems and circumstances to Him to handle. It may not feel like He is acting instantaneously, but wait on Him, trust Him, and He will. Don’t trust your feelings, they will lead you astray, trust God.
