“And to the Reubenites and Gadites I gave from Gilead even to the Valley of the Arnon, with the middle of the valley as the boundary of it, as far over as the river Jabbok, the boundary of the Ammonites.” Deuteronomy 3:16
The bible is God’s instruction book for life to us. In His Word are the how to’s of navigating through all the situations and issues that you encounter. That’s great news!
So what do we get out of todays verse? It talks about places we aren’t familiar with that are difficult to pronounce, so you may ask, how can that help me? God has nuggets of wisdom and guidance tucked away in the verses of His Word, for those who diligently seek it, they will find it.
The first few chapters of the book of Deuteronomy tell how God has brought the Israelites out of the wilderness and are leading them to the promised land. As He leads them He gives certain areas to certain tribes for a possession and He sets the boundaries.
There are some who don’t like boundaries, they look at them as restrictions, they want to be free (I used to be one of them). Boundaries in life are good, though, they protect us from harm and keep us focused. That is what I get from our verse today. Ask God to help set the boundaries in your life for your protection and good.
