“You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord Who is with you. O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” 2 Chronicles 20:17
In this verse the writer names Judah and Jerusalem, but I want you to put your name where theirs is.
This verse tells me not to struggle, but to wait on the Lord. We fret and worry over things going on in our life when the Lord tells us repeatedly that He is taking care of it.
This verse says, 1. Don’t fight, don’t struggle. 2. Take your position, do you believe God, then take that position. 3. Stand still, no more fretting, but calmly waiting. 4. Watch what the Lord does.
Isn’t it great when someone tells you they’re going to take care of something for you so that you don’t have to think about it anymore? Well that’s what the Lord is telling you about your problems. He’s is with you and He is handling all your problems.
