A Christian Journey

She Kept Close

“So she kept close to the maidens of Boaz, gleaning until the end of the barley and wheat harvests, and she lived with her mother-in-law.”  Ruth 2:23

It is so wonderful to have family you can feel comfortable with.  I hear of so many families who have discord, dissension and disruption.  In the story of Ruth, she decided to return with her mother-in-law, Naomi, to the land Naomi was from.  The two women had a good relationship and took care of each other, that’s the way family should be.  I am blessed to have a wonderful relationship with my in-laws and they are truly family to me.  I can depend on them and they can depend on me.

The three d’s – discord, dissension, and disruption come from pride and putting ones self first.  You gain so much more by putting love first and the importance of family.
