“Urged on by faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed and went forth to a place which he was destined to receive as an inheritance; and he went, although he did not know or trouble his mind about where he was to go.” Hebrews 11:8 (Amplified)
We looked at this verse yesterday and found some nuggets of gold at the beginning of it, but there is more. The verse ends with “although he did not know or trouble his mind about where he was to go”. Like River City sometimes we get trouble with a capital T when we worry. I told someone recently who had a friend who worried all the time that they should write down their worries and then go back and see what happened. Most of the time when we worry nothing happens. Was it really worth all the time and stress we spend on worrying. If we look back at our worries we can see that our worries or fears are exactly what the acronym for fear is. False Evidence Appearing Real!
Don’t trouble your mind, have faith. Just say “God you’ve got this!”
