“But Noah found grace and favor in the eyes of the Lord.” Genesis 6:8
God had found the earth and mankind in its early stages to be wicked, depraved, the Amplified even says putrid, in their ways. He thought to destroy everything, but Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. He did as his great grandfather Enoch had done, Noah walked habitually with the Lord. My definition of habitually would be that he made God a regular part of his life, seeking Him in all areas, every day.
As we know, the rest of the story, God told Noah to build the ark and he, his family and the animals inside it survived the great flood. At the end of chapter six of Genesis it says, “Noah did this, he did all that God commanded him.” Oh that this can be said about us too, but that takes faith.
