“But without faith it is impossible to please God. For whoever would come near to God must believe that God exists and that He is the Rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6
The Hall of Faith in Hebrews lists Enoch as a faithful hero. He walked in habitual fellowship with God and then he was taken up to heaven to be with God. Enoch did not taste death, something we would all prefer to do as well. The only indication of why this happened was because of his habit of being in fellowship with God.
What makes this truly unique was that his walk with God was before Jesus walked on the earth, before the jews were set free from slavery, before the covenant with Abraham and just before the flood. It begs the question, why would Enoch feel the need to walk habitually with God?
With all that we have, why shouldn’t we?
