“So then, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you may do, do all for the honor and glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
So what is it we DO every day, ever stop and think about that? Obviously we eat and drink, like this scripture says. What else do you DO? For those who have a job you DO that, but then you also have to get to your job, that’s a DO. Throughout most of our day we talk to people and walk around, those are DO’s as well.
Now here’s the real question. Why do you DO what you DO? For most of us we work to earn a living, to enjoy the rest of our life. What motivates us, though? Sometimes it’s hard to DO for someone who is mean or that has hurt us. We often have to deal with those kinds of people in our jobs or even in our family. So how DO we DO it? This verse says we DO it for the honor and glory of GOD. I find it so much easier to DO something for someone if I DO it for the Lord. I would DO anything for Him.
This verse also emphasizes that we DO things pleasing to the Lord, like loving others, especially the unlovable. That in turn may open someone’s eyes to seeing GOD, and the wonderful salvation He has for them.
I had a lot of DO’s in here today, I’m hoping that will help you to go out and DO for others.
