A Christian Journey

“But those who wait for the Lord – who expect, look for, and hope in Him – will change and renew their strength and power; they will lift their wings and mount up close to God as eagles mount up to the sun; they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint.”  Isaiah 40:31  (Amplified)

Waiting, we hate waiting.  This verse, though, tells us the reward we get simply by waiting.  When we expect, look for and hope in Him, we will change.  He will renew our strength and power.  This is very encouraging to me.  I don’t know about you, but I need a renewal of my strength and power every day.

With this renewed strength and power I can draw even closer to God.  I can run to Him and to what He would have me do, and not be tired.  I can walk through my daily life and circumstances, and not faint.  What a refreshing change.
