A Christian Journey

You Are Strong Enough

“And David said to Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord.  And Nathan said to David, The Lord also has put away your sin, you shall not die.”   2 Samuel 12:13

Yesterday we looked at the effect of idleness on David’s fall into sin. Today we look at carelessness.

Since David was not going out to battle he took off his armor and felt he was strong in his own might.  Pride is the primary enemy of the christian, it was the cause of Lucifer’s fall from heaven.  We must never believe we are able to handle alone any temptation that may come our way.  We are only strong in the power of His might.

Tomorrow we will continue down the path of sin, beware.
